What does image resizing mean?

Resizing an image changes its real pixel dimensions, for example from 4000×3000 px to 1200×900 px. This is useful for email attachments, online uploads, websites, documents and forms that require smaller images.

Which size should I choose?

For web use or lightweight documents, 1200 px width is often a good balance. Use 1920 px for more detail or 800 px for thumbnails and fast uploads.

Will the photo be cropped?

No. The default mode keeps proportions. If you choose “Force exact width and height”, the image is resized exactly to the specified dimensions.

Will the file size be reduced too?

Yes. Reducing pixels usually reduces file size too. For JPG and WebP you can also adjust quality.

Is the result a ZIP file?

If you upload one image, you download the resized image directly. If you upload multiple images, the result is downloaded as a ZIP archive.
